The Villa

Bahama Nirvana Villa (a.k.a. Hideout Villa) is much more than just a "beach house." It is a comfortable home-away-from-home... a spacious, fully furnished, very privately situated, three bedroom, two bathroom residence set amidst swaying palms trees, lawns and gardens, with a full kitchen and all the other amenities needed for a relaxing, carefree vacation.

If you're looking for privacy for a romantic getaway, or a great family vacation, you are sure to find it here. With breathtaking sunrise and sunset views, easy convenience to a wonderful variety of nearby beaches which you are likely to have all to yourself, as well as restaurants, food stores, and all of the unspoiled scenic splendors of this peaceful island... this will be your dream vacation home!

You enter the home into a spacious, semi-circular living and dining room surrounded by sliding glass doors opening out to a series of decks and patios for sunset gazing and outdoor dining, surrounded by tropical gardens. You will find vaulted ceilings, a leather sectional sofa, casually elegant tropical fixtures, satellite tv, wired phone line (uncommon on the island), and dsl wifi for your computer.

Hallways from here lead to two of the three bedrooms. One of these has a double bed and the other has twin beds. These rooms are serviced by a tiled bathroom with vanity sink and full tub and shower.

The dining area opens to the spacious country kitchen with another dining table as well as the customary appliances including fridge, freezer, gas stove, microwave, toaster oven and all of the pots, pans, dishes, etc. you would expect in a well equipped home.

Up a small flight of steps you will find the master bedroom and sitting room with a full en suite tiled bath and private shaded sitting porch.

You will enjoy the windowed shower in the master bath looking out upon a grove of coconut palms.

The housekeeper visits regularly and cleans thoroughly upon the departure of our guests. Additional cleanings can be arranged during your stay if you wish.

Surrounding the house are lovely gardens, lawns, porches and decks, including a gazebo where you can relax in the shade while enjoying sigh-inspiring views over the ocean with no sign of intrusion.

There are two outdoor showers for rinsing off sand and salt when returning from the beach.

There is a gas barbecue where you can grill fresh fish you catch or just bought on the docks in a nearby village from returning fishermen.

Our gardener will be happy to open coconuts for you from the grove in the garden.

There are several beaches of various descriptions within a few minutes walk or one minute drive, offering whatever kind of seaside delight suits your pleasure. And you will often find yourself utterly alone on any of them!

Whether your pleasure is swimming, sun bathing, surfing, snorkeling, fishing, or dreamy strolls along miles of empty pink sand by the azure sea searching for that perfect shell, you will find the perfect beach for you!

As our guest you are welcome to use the Rainbow Bay tennis court, about a mile from the villa.

If you visit you will surely find that you agree that there really is no other villa in a comparable location offering the combination of size, comfort, appurtenances, convenience, privacy and overall quality and value.

"Nirvana" is an ancient term meaning a "state of perfect happiness and grace." We think you will agree that the villa is aptly named!

Our caretaker will be pleased to meet your plane and bring you to the villa, and can be consulted to meet your special needs, including the rental of a car. You can walk to several beaches and can stop at a market en route to the house if you wish, so a rental car is not strictly necessary. Having one is highly recommended, however, as it makes it easy to enjoy all of the glorious beaches on Eleuthera, a number of good restaurants, peaceful villages, and the many spectacular scenic vistas.

We have been visiting Eleuthera for forty years and we honestly believe there is no better value on the island when one understands the location, size, appurtenances and overall quality of Bahama Nirvana.
